Rondor was built in 1906 and originally used as a goods storage warehouse along the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railway line, receiving the belongings of the city’s new residents and storing or delivering them to their residences once settled.

Located in the city of Redlands in California, the Rondor building is unreinforced masonry. It requires significant seismic upgrades and we are happy and relieved it survived the recent earthquakes.

Most recently, the roof of the structure was removed, exposing all of the original wood trusses. These trusses will remain in place, with new trusses sistered on each side and additional steel plates and columns added for structural strengthening. A new corrugated metal roof will be installed after
all of that work is complete.
