While the fires were burning in Los Angeles this January, we at ARG were seized by a desire to help in any way we possibly could. We felt that documentation was a tool we had in our toolbelt that could be put to work right away, even as we were just beginning to process the devastation.
The result is an interactive map that combines existing heritage resource data with the fire burn area data, providing a comprehensive view of heritage sites in the Eaton and Palisades fire areas and how they were impacted by the fires. We are incredibly grateful to the Los Angeles Conservancy for their leadership and the World Monuments Fund and National Trust for Historic Preservation for their support of this effort.
